ELIGIBILITY AND RESTRICTIONS: The call is open to all artists in the Long Beach and surrounding areas. The work must be your interpretation of Valentine's Day. All forms of painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, graphics, digital and installation art, video, etc. are eligible. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to apply. All works must be able to hang on a nail and not over 20 pounds in weight. All work must be Valentine's Day themed.
EXHIBITION: Chosen artists will be featured in a group exhibition at Roxanne’s Latin Bar and Grill, February 5th - February 19th, 2016. The exhibition will also be displayed on the Squeeze Art Collective web site, Facebook page, Instagram, and YouTube Channel.
EXHIBITION TERMS: All works in the show must be for sale. The Collective will take a 40 percent commission* on all sales. Work must be priced at $50 or above.
*Subscribing Squeeze Artist Members get a reduced commission of 20 percent. Join us to get that rate.
NO ENTRY FEES: There is no entry fee.
DISPLAY: Artists may display up to 5 pieces up to 18x24". If your piece is larger, you may display up to 2 pieces. We will consider showing more than 5 if your pieces are smaller than 8x10".
IMAGE USE / COPYRIGHTS: Artist retains all copyrights to submitted images and represented artwork. By entering the show, artists selected to exhibit grant Squeeze Art Collective rights to use the selected image(s) on printed materials, social media, and the Collective’s web site for promotional purposes only. Squeeze Art Collective and Roxanne’s Latin Bar and Grill retain no copyrights or usage rights outside of promoting the artists and their work.
NOTIFICATION: Artists will be notified of acceptance or non-acceptance no later than February 3rd, 2017 depending on submission date. Notification will be made via email.
LIABILITY WAIVER: Because Roxanne's Latin Bar and Grill is not primarily a gallery, we have to operate in an "at the artist's discretion" policy. As a bar and grill, the art will be near beverages and the public. Although we will take the highest care in your work, utilizing all our resources to promote and sell your art, making sure that it is taken care of, we unfortunately can't be held responsible if anything were to happen to it. We are not a primary functioning gallery and don't have the insurance to cover any theft or damage. If you have any questions or concerns about it, we are open to dialogue and suggestions.
DEADLINE: The final entry deadline is February 3rd, 2017. Entries must be submitted via email by this date.
