I’ve been making art since before I can remember. It was always around and I was lucky enough to have parents that indulged me. I decided at age 12 that I wanted to be a graphic designer, before I even knew what they did.

I then proceeded to spend my college years studyingIllustration, earning a B.F.A. in Illustration from California State University, Long Beach. Deciding that Graphic Designers did the hiring and Illustrators were at their mercy, I went straight back to Graphic Design. I found that I could be the illustrator for my design jobs and doubled my happiness.

I’ve worked for ad agencies, design firms in-house, out of house and in almost every medium from die cut stainless steel to digital billboards. I spent 8 years designing wine and beer labels culminating in some of my wine labels being shown at SFMOMA in their “How Wine Became Modern” exhibit.

Along with my paid gigs, I’ve had a healthy side business of original posters, postcards and tees which has allowed me the extra creative freedom I need.

Currently I’m art director for a Long Beach based pet treat and food manufacturer by day and by night, a sketching and painting dynamo. I look forward to exploring many mediums and getting inspired by the Squeeze Art Collective community.
